Welcome to the 2011 CSA. I just wanted to touch base with everyone share some information that I hope will make your CSA experience a great one for all involved!
Refer to the CSA brochure for basic facts and structure of the CSA
The CSA will begin in June. The e first scheduled distribution will be Saturday June 18th. After the initial pick up in June members will be divided so that member Group A will pick up at first of each month and the other half of members (Group B) will pick up the second half of each month.
The groups are divided as follows:
|Month||Group A pick up||Group B pick up|
|June||June 18||June 18|
|July||July 9*||July 23|
|August||August 6||August 20|
|September||Sept 10*||Sept 24|
|October||Oct 1||Oct 15|
|November||Nov 5||Nov 19|
|December||Dec 3||Dec 17|
Email me and we can work out an alternate time/date for your pick up.
I will send out an emai4 notice two weeks prior to each CSA distribution date providing information on CSA items of the month and listing the options available to full CSA members (third category). Please email me your choices for the month (as applicable) at least ONE WEEK PRIOR to your CSA distribution date. If you have a special order (want more of something) let me know and I will see what is available.
A full CSA share includes two classes (for two people) and a mini share includes one class. Please check out the times and topics for the classes offered this year and sign up ASAP for the classes you are interested in. If classes are not full I will open them for general registration to non -CSA members for $30.00/person. Interest is especially high for the cheese making classes and more classes may be added at a later date to accommodate the interest and keep the classes small.
Please see the attached class schedule and topics. More information on what will be covered in each class will be available in the next month. If you have questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you all for your interest and support in the CSA. I look very forward to sharing all kinds of cheese and other dairy products with you over the next months. We busily are preparing the kitchen for the CSA and the barn for the kids, which are due the end of May.
If you have not read the April Newsletter check it out ... Happy Spring!
